This disorder impacts the nervous system which causes repetitive behaviors, interests, and activities. At the age of 2, Temple had autism but her mother Eustacia Culter was blamed by physicians because of Temples condition. Her treatments included extensive speech theory to help her communicative abilities. Since Temple was autistic she had a lack of interest in emotional issues and relationships which means she is unmarried and has no children, although she did has friends like Dr. Charlock he was a science teacher who inspired and helped her by saying "when there's a door their will be a new opportunity". Despite these difficulties, she had a success in academics. She earned a degree in psychology from Franklin Pierce College in 1970, followed by a master's degree in animal science from Arizona State University and a doctoral degree in animal science from the University of Illinois. Temple was a writer, biologist, and an educator. She was a leading advocate for an autistic community, she provided written books, and human treatment for animals.

She is also known for her work regarding animal welfare, neurology and philosophy. In the essay "Animals Are Not Things," she argues that while animals are our property the law grants them certain key protections. Her book "Animals in Translation" and "Animals Make Us Human" which gather her critical claim on how animals are treated. Temple was willing to work with fast food companies and slaughterhouses owners for the animal rights community. She explains the anxiety rather than the maximum extension of life for keeping a priority of animals, she also explains that anxiety suffered in animals for long periods of time without animal or human interaction shows an example in which animal welfare is neglected. In 2009, Temple was a fellow member of the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, she also premieres in a range of television show or radio programs. The next year the movie Temple Grandin recieved 15 Emmy Award nominations and had won five, including for outstanding television movie and best actress and Temple Grandin herself appeared and gave few brief remarks to the crowd. Temple Grandin was also an inventor she had created a machine in when she felt sad or anxious it would squeeze her body and make her calm down. Her university thought it was an invention in which gave pleasure to herself so they had to remove it but in the machine she had a control group and she tested the machine on them, she asked them how they felt in the machine. The machine was used on cows since when they felt anxious two walls on the left and right would press slightly against there skin to calm them down and relax, she also invented a "hug box" which is a device to calm those people who suffer autism. Temple currently lives in Colorado and works as an American professor at Colorado State University.
In my perspective when you see obstacles as opportunities its to improve the quality of your life, being honest with your future and envisioning a better future. An obstacle is something that blocks your path but if you thought of it as an opportunity it can create improvement in your life, nobody was perfect and even if we were what would there be to learn from those negative mistakes. It can also be a way of reflecting towards yourself by showing you can reach the light in the most darkest situation by proving even if the problem or situation is overwhelming you are seen as a determined, positive person.
